Kingwood Cove Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Kingwood, Texas.
Kingwood Cove Golf Club first opened for play in 1967.
This short placement course is a challenge for the intermediate player. Pine trees line every fairway and water hazards come into play on eleven holes.
Blue tees: par-71, 6,722 yards
White tees: par-71, 6,211 yards
Red tees: par-72, 5,601 yards
The course closed in 2017, a victim of Hurricane Harvey
Kingwood was long considered one of the areas best golf values. Weekend play was less than $30 ($12 during twilight). Conditions may not have been like a country club, but they were always playable, and the course was challenging and fun. Kingwood probably could have reopened following Harvey (even though this was the third time in two years it had been flooded), but the course was already under contract to be sold. The new owner plans to put a housing development on the site.

I play the course all the time because it's the cheapest course around and the layout is alright. The course condition is lacking. Sometimes are better than others, but it's never great. Overall though, it is a good value. You can have fun for the cost.
